How we rank eSIMs
Short version: every price is read off the provider's own page, and the picks are price-only.
What we track
We compare 3 providers (Airalo, Holafly, Saily) across 10 countries — 180 individual plans in total. Airalo and Holafly sell unlimited data by trip length; Saily sells capped-data plans plus one unlimited option. For every plan we record the price in USD, the duration, the data allowance, and the network it runs on.
How the data is verified
Prices are not scraped or estimated. Each one was read directly off the provider's own country page during the review dated 2026-09-07, and re-checked on a rolling schedule. eSIM providers change prices often, so each table shows that date and links straight to the provider for the live figure and any first-order discount code.
How the picks are calculated
Each country page flags a few picks, all derived from the price table alone:
- Cheapest for a short trip — lowest total price among small capped plans and 3–5 day unlimited plans.
- Best for about a week — cheapest 7-day unlimited plan.
- Best for two weeks — cheapest 15-day unlimited plan.
- Cheapest for a month — cheapest 30-day unlimited plan.
In the unlimited table, the cheapest cell in each duration column is highlighted. For capped plans we also show a price per GB we calculate so different sizes compare on one number — it's our figure, not a provider quote.
What the picks don't capture
The picks are mechanical and price-only. They don't score app quality, activation reliability, support, or real-world network performance — that's what the provider reviews and each country's coverage notes are for. Read both before buying.
